Balthamel always served the Dark One from the shadows. Born Eval Ramman, he delighted in "pleasures of the flesh" in the Age of Legends. He was deeply involved in the underground world and controlled crime networks.

Like Aginor, he was trapped near the surface of the prison that Lews Therin and the Hundred Companions created. 		Balthamel - Eval Ramman Balthamel_site_image

Able to sense the world on occasion, he was unable to interact with it. The grinding of the Wheel of Time decimated his body, leaving only an ugly shell. By the time he was freed, he had lost the power of speech and was eager to once again feel soft flesh.

Balthamel was killed by the Green Man at the Eye of the World. The first of the Forsaken to die in this "primitve" Age, he has been granted a second chance to serve. But being resurrected by the Dark One has its costs.
